4. Which hotel is closest to the venue?
A. Holiday Inn Express is only 3 mins walk away. Rooms are still available.
5. Where can I park?
A. There are lots of free parking spots in the surrounding area, directly behind the venue, all free after 6pm, Sat and Sunday parking is free too. We also have a designated parking lot with CJ AUTOS which is literally around the corner from the venue, free parking after 6pm.
6. Can I bring an advertising banner or flyers to the venue?
A. Yes if you have had written permission from karen@yorkshiresalsacongress.co.uk, any attempt to erect a banner without permission will have that banner removed from the premises and flyers removed.
7. Can I bring food or drink into the venue
A. For all attendees to workshops, you are allowed to fetch snacks, drinks, but for the social dancing evening parties it is strictly NO DRINKS ALLOWED!.
8. What level are your classes, can anyone come?
A. We have something for every level of dancer.
9. What is the age restriction?
A. The age restriction is strictly 18 years and above.
10. Ive lost my wristband do I have to pay again?
A. As with all Concert / Events, a wristband will be given on entry to the congress, you MUST NOT remove the wristband for any reason, if you remove or lose your wristband you must pay again. SORRY.
11. Can I book a private lesson with a teacher?
A. Yes you can ,most all of the teachers are available for private one to one tuition.
Please contact karen@yorkshiresalsacongress.co.uk as early as possible to reserve your place, but you also need to purchase a full pass to the congress.
12. Do I need to bring a dance partner?
A. No, With over 450 attendees last year there will be lots of people to dance with at one of the greatest dance nights in the North of England.
13. Am I allowed to dip and do dance tricks on the dance-floor with my dance partner?
A. Strictly NO!! There is a safety strict policy that includes no fancy tricks and dips on our dance-floor. This is for the safety of all our dancers and partners, we request you leave this type of dancing for the stage.
14. Is booking open for the 2020 Yorkshire Salsa congress ?
A. YES Earlybird tickets on sale 11th October
15. Can I record the teacher whilst teaching in the workshops?
A. Unfortunately Not. We run the same policy as most all other congress Venues, the only time you can record the teacher is when the lesson is over and the teacher has said you can now record.
